I am Sudha V Mittal, 42 years old. Married. Mom to a 7-year-old daughter. Lived and studied in Delhi. After Post grad worked in the advertising industry for a period of 12 years as a branding and communication consultant.
Art is something that has been an extension of me since my childhood. I remember being in kindergarten and drawing over all my notebooks and getting a good scolding from mom. I never took art seriously enough, it was always just a place to be to be away from the regular and mundane, the ‘have to be’ and ‘need to do’. Though I stayed in touch with art one way of the other but never did any painting, never any art classes, no formal education.
In the world of chaos, I have found my peace with my paint brushes and colours
Somehow life kept me busy enough to not being able to find any time for anything apart from the necessary. It is only after I quit my job to be with my daughter in her early years that I found the time to pick my paint brushes once again. So at the age of 37, I painted my first portrait and I was pleasantly surprised at the overwhelming emotions I felt on completing a painting. I got hooked on to it and now I had to do more and more of it. So here I am with what I feel is an extension of how I see the world, the beauty of the human form. Here are some of my painting that I feel strongly about and I feel will bring joy to those who see them.
